FAQ

The Questions Patients Ask Most

Most questions we receive are practical rather than clinical — how to book, whether a referral is needed, how long a test takes, and when results come back.

The answers below cover the ones that come up most often. Anything specific to your own heart is best answered by your cardiologist at your visit.

If your question is not here, call (346) 614-0002 and our team will help.

Urgent Symptoms

When Not to Wait for an Appointment

Call 911 immediately, rather than booking an appointment, for any of the following:

Chest pain that is severe, persistent, or occurs at rest
Chest discomfort with sweating, nausea, or breathlessness
Sudden or severe difficulty breathing
Fainting or loss of consciousness
A very fast heartbeat that will not settle
Sudden facial drooping, arm weakness, or difficulty speaking
A limb that becomes suddenly cold, pale, or numb

Do not wait

Online appointment requests are never appropriate for potentially life-threatening symptoms, and you should not drive yourself to hospital. Call 911.
